By the way, there is a slight visual difference between dx11 and dx9 depending
on your version of shader model installed. dx9 only supports up to shader model
3, so there WILL be a slight visual difference no matter how high your settings
are. As that blue said in that thread: "Added features such as the new water
effects and sunshafts are based on the Shader Support your card has."

But the fact that you cant set it to high is indeed quite strange and should be
investigated.
