A possible workaround: I got some sound issues playing on Edge Of Chaos : no
background music (in game and in menu) and no Clay speech in game. I got
similar error log messages that Jerome described.
( I use the 2 CD version Edge Of Chaos, patched on F14.6, with Wine 1.3.5 on
Debian Squeeze )
I solved these sound issues by a native quartz.dll override. I noticed that
many quartz.dll versions doesn't work with Wine & EOC : I used successfully
this version of quartz.dll : http://www.fichier-dll.fr/quartz.dll,3463
