Do your sound card support 11025 Hz, 22050 Hz and 44100 Hz ?

if your card is HDA-intel , you can find the supported rate in [Audio Output]

cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0



I guess is the patch which disable the resampling if your sound card does not
support the requested rate
