winetrick mono26 should allow you to use mono instead of .NET. Try this and
consider creating another bug if that fails to start.

I am not sure about the asking to install .NET or Mono but Mono is generally
prefered. Maybe this will be just like Gecko but is Mono a replacement of ALL
of the entire .NET framework?
