The only info I could get from typing wine in the terminal then dragging and
dropping the pinball.exe in the terminal in Ubuntu

You may have to play this pinball game for about 30 minutes before you see the
problem yourself.  I've also noticed the ball can move sharply to the right or
left when hit by a flipper instead of going up.

The ball is most likely to "fall" through a flipper when it's falling down from
the top very fast.

I don't know if this is a bug in Wine, the game itself or both.  I hope others
can test this for long enough in Wine and under Windows to find out what's
happening.  It's a problem that affects gameplay.
