[Bug 15399] Colin Mcrae Rally 1.0 shows Graphical Glitches within menus and crashes before loading any track.

I've tried Colin McRae Rally 1.0 under wine 1.3-17, and it finally reaches
In-Game Status.
Unfrotunately it has been possible by running it in software mode / Windows 95
settings, which limits the game to a resolution of 320x240.

It keeps showing some glitches on 2d elements, while printing on screen the
following message:


fixme:d3d_surface:surface_convert_format Cannot find a conversion function from
format WINED3DFMT_B5G5R5X1_UNORM to WINED3DFMT_P8_UINT.


If I try to run the game trough "Direct3D / Generic Video Card" it shows a
black screen with correctly painted 2d UI and the following message looping on
debug:


fixme:d3d_surface:surface_load_location Unimplemented location SFLAG_INSYSMEM
for depth/stencil buffers.
fixme:d3d_surface:surface_load_location Unimplemented location SFLAG_INSYSMEM
for depth/stencil buffers.
fixme:d3d_surface:IWineD3DSurfaceImpl_Unmap Depth Stencil buffer locking is not
implemented


By the way, the game interface is still very slow, requiring a 1 second button
press for every keyboard input to be accepted, while printing this multiple
times:

fixme:d3d_surface:IWineD3DBaseSurfaceImpl_Blt Filter WINED3DTEXF_LINEAR not
supported in software blit.


and shows the content from the latest appended log when exiting the game.
