I can reproduce this too. When I use the builtin version of msvcrt.dll I get
the frozen window when I try to launch a game from the server browser.

If you install the native msvcrt, it fixes the issue with Wine 1.3.32, and
causes a crash when launching the server browser with Wine 1.3.33 or later.

I have raised the crash problem in a seperate bug (Bug 29257) and will try and
identify the commit that causes the crash bug tomorrow. For now, it's possible
to play the game quite well with 1.3.32 and the native msvcrt from winetricks.
