Thanks.  The problem is a missing certificate:

trace:chain:CRYPT_BuildSimpleChain Couldn't find issuer, halting chain creation
trace:chain:CRYPT_CheckSimpleChain checking chain with 1 elements for time
(null)
trace:chain:dump_element 0x1fd4d8: version 2
trace:chain:dump_element issued by L"Thawte SGC CA"

This might in fact be a duplicate of bug 27168.  You could try one of the
patches attached to it and see if it works for you.
