Still happening here with wine-1.3.36, happened on first try on both systems:
e8400 ubuntu 11.10, nvidia gt 220,     driver 280.13
i7    ubuntu 11.10, nvidia gtx 560 Ti, driver 280.13

log says
device.c:895: Test failed: Didn't receive MOUSEMOVE 3 (125, 125).

Perhaps not unsurprisingly, bisect shows the first bad commit is
