Bug is still present for me.  Sometimes takes many refocus events.  To test, I
use the mouse and click back and forth between the desktop and Eve in rapid
fire.  ALT-Tab'ing gets same result for me.

When I was using KDE I had Eve setup as a fullscreen borderless window and
managed via the taskbar.  I found that I could completely avoid this bug by
always ensuring I clicked on the Eve icon in the taskbar to regain focus.
