Did you install Wine from source or from a .deb package? Because after
installing Wine 1.3.14 from source, source games other than Half-Life 2 refuse
to launch still.

On Debian Squeeze, currently wondering what is needed in order to play this
game, among others. I've got the IA32 libraries installed, none need to be
updated.
