I solved this bug by upgrading to the new experimental drivers. Hope it helps
everyone else as well!

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo
apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental && sudo apt-get upgrade

(I also enabled s3tc textures,but i'm not sure if this matters or not, don't
wanna play with it and risk loosing it all over again)
