If you're talking about midi generation, then perhaps it's true,
timidity playback works just fine though.

Frankly, I'm getting a feeling that some of the devs think, that wine is only
run on pro-audio setups (all that stuff about jack and latency). IIRC average
setups can't really deal with that anyway. They simply live with a bit of
latency, though usually it's not that much to be really noticeable.

And just what should "PA cannot redirect all sound to the default sink" ?
Last time I checked, by a simple alsa.conf pulse can be made default alsa
device.
