Can't confirm. Mafia 1 (v1.2) works perfectly here. I have a DVD version
released as "Golden Classic" which is legally sold already cracked, because
Protection ID says:

Safedisc 2.80.011 detected but verification not successfull assuming exe
includes a faked Safedisc version or it has been cracked! Cracked by DRUNK!

The CD version comes probably with SafeDics v2.70.030 (may depend Country to
country). So try to patch your game to v1.2 and try to use a cracked .EXE, if
that helps.
