The game does not freeze anymore (1.3.22, probably earlier) and also does not
require a no-cd patch. I let the installer do the dx9 installation but I did
not override any dll.

Player registering and login is done OK, but the game is unable to show
playable scenes in fullscreen (it keeps the last cinematic frame static
instead) having to enter windowed mode to show them. The game crashes whenever
any in-game option is invoked (but F1/Help).

Nevertheless I think this bug can be closed as fixed and leave the previous
issues for another report.
