Sorry it's taken me so long to comment on this, I've been a bit busy lately. 
Anyway, a while back I tried to see if this was specific to the HTML help
component or a "browser-wide" issue and discovered that you can easily
replicate the problem in Wine's IE (retested with Wine 1.3.22):

1) Run "wine iexplore"
2) Wait for http://www.winehq.org/ to finish loading
3) Click the "Print" toolbar button
4) Click the "Cancel" button
5) Attempt to click any link on the Wine website (nothing will work)
