My system is Ubuntu 10.10 64bit with an Nvidia 7600GS and the proprietary
Nvidia drivers. Its a stock setup. 

The only thing I built myself is wine, wine-1.3.22-203-gac90c1b

Correct. Once I click away the hardware summary screen, there is no more
activity. The installation background remains, but will stay there for a week
and continue using up memory.

Also, should I open another bug for the game not running?
