I installed and ran the Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition using Mono
2.10.1 (full), and Windows Installer (3.1 & 4.0), which is one of the worst (if
not worse) programs to install in wine that using the .Net Framework 3.5, so at
least the I think that it useless to improve the compatibility of wine with the
.Net 3.5 installer.
We should test programs running on recent versions of Mono and Wine.
