[Bug 25969] Lords of the Realm 2 crash after intro video

I'm still getting the crash in wine-1.3.20-94-geb4b262. Lords of the Realm 2
(GoG.com version).

I have to mention a few things about the issue:
1) It happens when you quit the game (by pressing <Esc>) not when the videos
end. If you let the videos run through to the end, you will finally reach the
main menu.
2) The game runs fine except that it shows only black screen unless I set a
virtual desktop size matching with the game's own resolution (640x480).
Frankly, I don't remember if that was the case when I performed the regression
test or it is due to an update on my system (Xserver/Nvidia/Gnome/whatever). 
3) For me, the generated backtrace is still the same in current git as attached
by the bug reporter earlier (comment #2). That's why I thought I had the same
problem.

It'd be nice if the bug reporter gave us a feedback on his own bug report.
