Taking out the return on line 872 in mmio.c
return send_message(wm->ioProc, &wm->info, MMIOM_SEEK, lOffset, iOrigin,
FALSE);

(Probably because the return value of send_message is not compatible with
mmio_seek return)

Makes the sound effects work and they are no more distorted. Application does
not crash anymore either. However, music still does not play. But it's already
much better. I'll keep investigating.
