Same here. Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit identical problems with wine-1.2r6 and
wine-1.3.31 (ubuntu distro). Tried winetricks ie6, ie7, ie8

Running Launcher.exe from command line gives a million
fixme:shell:DllGetClassObject failed for
CLSID={871c5380-42a0-1069-a2ea-08002b30309d} (unknown) 

Ctrl^C will cause WowError.exe to run eventually.
