Since got the game figured I could run a regression test, but first I just did
a clean install with 1.3.30, only got the "Don't know what to do with 10000
channels, pretending there's only 2 channels" in the console and for the rest
it all worked out fine. 

Also tried to select languages different to English on the installer and did
not get the error.

Tried it from my /home and tried it from inside the dvd directory, neither gave
the error.
