(It's not strictly necessary to have a new checkout as I do here, but if you do
 use an existing clone, make sure it's up to date and if you reverted the
offending patch locally then undo that).

1. git clone git://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git ~/wine-git
2. cd ~/wine-git
3. wget "http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=36335" -O winealsa.patch
4. git am winealsa.patch
5. ./configure && make
6. ./wine winecfg (and let us know if it works)
