Any particular reason to have native msxml3 for it? To properly fix something
it's necessary to reduce number of external dependencies as much as possible.

Could you try to get a minimal list of needed overrides? To get icons working
it sounds like gdiplus is a first candidate to start with.

Also please open a bug for msxml3 if it really makes difference at some point,
and if not already opened of course.
