Workaround:

Open the "Wine Configuration Tool" (winecfg)
Switch to the Libraries Tab
Set MSVCR90 to (native, built-in)
Click the "Apply" button.

Nook for PC 2.5 comes with the required dll in its "Program Files" folder.  No
need to install anything else.
