Sorry to bother but why do you get the adapters list and cycle throught it if
the support may be not available?

Isn't it better to simply:

+                    else if (interface_bind(fd, &uaddr.addr))
+                    {
+                        /* Bound to a specific interface, change the binding
+                         * address so that broadcast packets work properly */

Or maybe the code did something I didn't see in case it's not supported.
