I have the same problem with output similar to that of attachment 38101

My setup is:

Fedora 16 x86_64
wine.i686   1.5.0-2.fc16
Picasa Version 3.9.0 (Build 135.9300) for Linux

I uninstalled Picasa 3.9 and reinstalled Picasa 3.8 and could login to google
and upload.

The act of logging in to Google triggered the reinstallation of Picasa 3.9 even
when I requested "not now" or if I just closed the pop-up dialog.

I can reinstall Picasa 3.8 do my upload but next time I restart Picasa version
3.9 is installed and I have to repeat the process.

I do have ie6 installed.
