[Bug 28898] Diablo 3 beta multi-threaded installer freezes

I downloaded the D3 installer and with today's git and the AcceptEX patch (from
http://source.winehq.org/patches/data/85280 ), I was able to download 7gb of
data and all seems to work decently up until the launcher showed a dialog
saying:
"Failed to retrieve Blizzard Launcher properties."  Clicking OK exits the
installer.

I then ran "Diablo III Setup.exe" from the downloaded files and clicked the
"install" button and got a dialog saying: "The fire from the sky still falls.
Diablo III has not yet launched."

We're not crashing but I'm not sure if we're broken either.  I since found out
that they're doing maintenance of some kind on their end:

I'm kinda leaning toward this bug being fixed since at least it's not freezing
while downloading files.
