Please try this (after backing up any important files in ~/.wine):

cd $HOME
rm -rf .wine
mkdir tmp
cd tmp
wget http://www.vbtutor.net/StarWar/starwar5.CAB
cabextract starwar5.CAB
wine starwar5.exe

This should work fine.
