One can reproduce the problem in Metatrader 4 (freeware) without creating an
account.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. download the web installer and install MT4
2. start the application with terminal.exe
3. skip the account creation dialogs by pressing on <Cancel>
4. there are already 3 unread mails in your mailbox (lower part of the screen).
Double-click on any of them to open it...a crash happens here.

'winetricks ie7' is a workaround.

Opening mail works in Wine 1.3.32, the result of the regression test:
