For me log in, I installed via winetricks Riched20, so I can enter username and
password,

About the new version, it does so because there are newer versions of Windows
Live Messenger to corigir this problem set the version of Wine for Windows 2000

The install of the messenger has to be done by the version of windows xp, after
installation, switch to Windows 2000 to login

This is normal, because microsoft makes newer versions of messenger, messenger
8.5 but still works without problems.

I used it a lot in Windows, through the Windows 2000 compatibility mode.
