To be fair, wine-1.4-rc2 was already better: the programs still hanged, but
only sometimes; when I tested earlier, I 'lucked out' and got the hangs in
wine-1.4-rc2, but I haven't gotten one since. It may be that there were several
factors in the hang that were fixed
I can't be sure exactly when it stated to improve because I have been either
disabling sound in programs (due to the bug) or using programs that don't have
audio, and I have been using Regen very infrequently because of the bug and of
the aforementioned deadline. I haven't experienced any hangs in wine-1.4-rc4 so
far. I will keep the bug open until I perform the reverse regression.

The log I posted was for latest git. But you are right, it has a lot less
failures than the other logs had.
