No hang for me in 1.3.36 with "winetricks mfc42".
I get a lot of

fixme:msvcrt:MSVCRT__sopen_s : pmode 0x5f401944 ignored
fixme:msvcrt:MSVCRT__sopen_s : pmode 0x0380 ignored

messages, though.

Without winetricks, installer fails directly with
err:module:import_dll Library MFC42.DLL (which is needed by
L"Z:\\path\\GeoControl_Demo1.13a_Setup.exe") not found
