A user asked about it in #winehq. Trying it myself, I saw the same problem:
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce GTX 295/PCI/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 3.3.0 NVIDIA 285.05.05

same in 1.2, didn't try any other wine versions. disabling glsl/ddr=gdi did not
make a difference.
