I can't confirm this in 1.3.37. What is that drive G you have? Tested in a
clean prefix with winetricks corefonts + dotnet20. What program screen is
affected? Can you attach a screenshot?

This is what I see in the +font log:
trace:font:freetype_SelectFont Chosen: L"System" L"Regular"
(/usr/local/bin/../share/wine/fonts/vgasys.fon/(nil):0)
