I would like a little bit of info on this.
Seems converting to normal floats and using glVertexAttrib4fARB is increasing
the bandwith traffic to the graphic card far too much causing a huge
performance hit relative to nvidia cards.

dumb question: why GL_ARB_half_float_vertex is not usable in this case?
