That's probably because your environment gets reset to different state when you
start new session.

I had a similar problem in 64bit Debian 6, that's about a broken 64/32 GL bits
setup. For me it was solved with LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH variable that needs to be
set to use proper driver.

Not a Wine problem really.
