This is also happening with all games. After upgrading from 1.3.24 to 1.3.25
the following games i tested do not have any sound whatsoever:

L4D
L4D2
Hitman: Blood Money
Plants Vs Zombies
Wow Cataclysm
GTA3
GTA VC
Penumbra
