>From what you're describing the issue sounds somewhat similar to bug 30213,
though not quite the same. You'll probably want to check what size the window
ends up being. The scrolling you mention sounds like the virtual / "oversized"
desktop feature some window managers have. Does it also do that when you change
display resolution with xrandr without having Diablo running?
