--- Comment #101 from Alexey Loukianov <mooroon2 at mail.ru> 2012-05-14 21:24:48 CDT ---
I can confirm that patchset from comment #87 applied over current Wine git HEAD
(which is close to "Wine 1.5.4" release) fixes the problems with Diablo III
installer and launcher apps.

It also helps to increase stability of the installer, but I have no idea why
does it happen. Without this patchset downloader seems to hand once in a while
during game download process in case P2P transfers are enabled. With this
patchset I hadn't been able to reproduce downloader hangs despite I had been
trying hardly - had downloaded full game package for over than 10 times
yesterday without a glitch. With the unpatched version I've got two hangs over
four successful download attemps, so it looks like this patchset helps somehow
to increase the stability of the downloader.

I'm not sure if CodeWeavers guys had used the same patchset for their
unsupported CrossOver 11.0.3rc1 "D3 preliminary support" build, but if that's
the case - it also helped there. I've been able to successfully download
(twice), install and play D3 using CO 11.0.3rc1, so in case CW guys would
happen to read this comment, they should be proud of the good work they've done
to deliver CO version that is capable of driving D3 just at the right moment.
