The download page lists .NET 3.5SP1, .NET 4.0 and Windows 7 as requirements.
The installer will probably progress further after installing them with:
winetricks dotnet35sp1 dotnet40 win7
Don't get your hopes up though. Management studio 2008 fails to install with
very similar symptoms (bug 31154), and fails event with dotnet installed (bug
30681)
