I can confirm this. Swapping helmets in GW2 (or toggling them to be displayed)
causes the bug for me.

wine 1.5.14, GF 260 GTX, driver v304.51, Core i5-2500K, Ubuntu 12.04 x64,
kernel 3.2.0-31, running the game w/ -dx9single
