Gotta ask a few dumb questions.

Are you running 64 bit or 32 bit version of Ubuntu?
Did you compile wine or libxcb yourself?
Did you recreate your debs to install them?

I am unfamiliar with Ubuntu so I can't help you much beyond helping you to
confirm that you do indeed have the correct stuff installed.
