julusp, did you actually mean "builtin" when you say "native"?

I can never remember myself off-hand, which one means provided by Wine, and
which one is from Windows. Thank goodness winecfg says which is which.

FWIW, I get some DXUTCreateDevice failed messabox when forcing d3dx_42 to
builtin (Wine version), while forcing it as native (Windows version) lets me
play the game on 1.7.8.

Just checking... I don't intend to hijack this bug.
