I don't have the original Capella 2008 demo, so I tested with Capella 7.0 and
7.1. The problem as described in comment #0 still exists: when I press a key on
the virtual keyboard, the mouse pointer begins to flash and the application
freezes. Starting Timidity before launching Capella works around the problem.
