I could test it again, but I think it's been concluded here that the effects
won't work at all because pbuffer support has been removed.

Usually I don't touch bug status unless told to do so. I would like to see if
it works again before doing anything though. I have since switched to NVIDIA so
I'm wondering now if that would have any effect.
