Does it still happen with latest wine/diablo 3? Please retest.

FWIW "YOU HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THE GAME" ERROR 316704 is an error message
generally appearing when d3 servers are overloaded, so not a wine issue.

You may suffer from bug 33413, in which case using "setarch i386 -3 wine
diablo3.exe" to launch the game should help
