For anybody trying to play the game in the meantime, Ctrl+J brings up the
journal, Ctrl+S flips to the Save game screen and you can get away with some
interactions by moving the mouse around and guessing. Text, for example,
highlights if the 'cursor' (which really should be visible!) is over it.
