Just to chime in, this problem still occurs with Wine 1.7.18 (clean prefix).
Qt5Network.dll is patched by Heiko's patch here:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31438#c128

Tested with Plants Vs Zombies, Mirror's Edge and The Sims 3. All of them, once
reaching 99%, will sit there idly (and the Play button is unpressable). Either
through the task manager I must kill the EA installer, or by shutting down the
entire Wine prefix. After going back in, the Play button appears and you can
run said games.
