                     Cannot create file C\users\peterm\Temp\BBC0ff.tmp\Sim
                     Resources\Barnham Junction\Nameboard.bmp

Wine 1.7.40 creates the file structure

                   C\users\peterm\Temp\BBC0ff.tmp

only. The folder contains a $ only.
